Juicing is my ongoing experiment, and lately emptier grocery shelves or a lack of proper grocery shopping all together has propelled the experiment factor even further. With that, I bring you another of my Juice of the Week endeavors as a point of departure.
Lured by the refreshing citrus in these summer months, I reserved more of the pineapple for eating than initially intended. Buy two! Juicing basil was far more tedious than it was worth. To include the flavor of basil, my next approach will be to muddle the leaves like a healthy cocktail. Lastly, don’t walk through the produce aisle and forget to pick up ginger, and really, it’s ok to skip the celery.

1 organic heart of celery
1 large bunch of basil (2.5 oz)
6 organic lemons, peeled
Large bunch of kale
