“We farm. We grow. We build. We teach.”
The “we” in those vital activities is Grow Pittsburgh, an urban agriculture nonprofit whose mission I applaud wholeheartedly. In an effort to continue and expand its efforts, Grow Pittsburgh is thrilled to host its fourth annual fundraiser, A Taste of Grow Pittsburgh, on Sunday, September 22, 2013, at the Pittsburgh Center for the Arts in Shadyside. You can show your support by buying tickets. However, for one lucky reader, I have a pair of tickets to give away!
Guests will be invited to indulge in organic foods, sip local beer and wine, listen to great music, bid on wonderful silent auction packages and enjoy the galleries, patio and lawn surrounding the Pittsburgh Center for the Arts. The event will feature an assortment of tastings from Grow Pittsburgh’s restaurant partners who purchase locally grown produce and host fundraising dinners.
