Linen & Lace: A Brunch for Lovelies In My Life

October 2011

I couldn’t give Heather and Jess a true Quelcy tour of Pittsburgh without a brunch at my favorite locale:  my dining room!  The theme of the morning was linen ‘n lace, since these lovelies deserved something with a touch of fancy.  My fellow pi(e) maven, Erin joined us around the brunch table.

The menu featured these cinnamon rolls with a splash or Rhuby, my favorite black forest bacon from Whole Foods, cranberry sauce, oranges and more of the Wellspring Creamery cranberry-orange, goat cheese from our Appetentrée outing.

As a proper brunch should have, there was a cocktail glass, a water glass and a coffee cup.

Whole Foods Sparkling Blood Orange Soda + Sparkling Rosé = Quite a lot of splendid bubbly!

Time for a toast!

The lovelies who traveled to this table from afar [not really all that far]…

Jess tried on my chapeau de fleurs while Heather modeled my brand new apron which was their surprise for me.  Merci for the polka dots, friends!

If I had to write a personal manifesto, it would include a line or two about playing with your food.

We cleared the table and set on some more Pittsburgh adventures.

Fin.
