I walk a lot. I walk to get from point A to point B. I walk to brainstorm. I walk to be outside on sunny days. I walk to learn all about a new place, and occasionally, I walk to learn something new about a familiar place. This was one of those new walks in a familiar place. I’d never ambled beyond the sloping bit of trail that leads to the water. The sloping bit of trail that leads to the water was usually my destination, but on this night, there was a campsite and some impressive river folk occupying the tiny bit of stone beach. For the first time ever, I just followed the path, and a few new glimpses and views reminded me why I like this place (I sometimes forget).
