Happy Bastille Day!
I am no history buff (except maybe for this history), but I do know when there is an excuse for an extra French delicacy in the day!
I stopped at one of my favorite places in Pittsburgh, La Gourmandine, for baguettes to bolster the afternoon’s French inspired happy hour. While I was there, it only made sense to buy myself a little holiday commemoration. I had been eying the lemon tarts for quite some time, and le 14 juillet seemed an exceptionally deserving day for the purchase.
